Drilling Rig in Mining Exploration
This powerful multi-purpose drill rig is developed for exploration drilling. A special appreciation and respect for this project should be directed to engineers in Slade Drilling Pty Ltd without their helps and leading this project would not have been realised. The designed rig mast has capacity to lift up to 20 tonnes, and pull rods up to 9 metres long. The dump of the mast can be up to 1.5 metres. The drilling angle can perform operations from 90o to 45o. The main winch capacity is 18.5 tonne per single fall and it is designed for mounting on the mast. The drilling rotation head provides floating spindle with cushions, driven by hydraulic motor and gearbox with torque capacity enough to drill up to 1100m. The head is hydraulically shifted sideways and oil lubricated. The feeding system provides fast traverse stroke 6.6 m, capacity to hold 18 tonne, and maximum speed up/down 40 m/min. Nominal power range is 200 kW. The mast is mounted on the skid chassis with hydraulic outriggers, and it provides easy set up and transportation by the truck or crawler. The rig is equipped with the rod rack adjustable on the side of the rig.

Testimony: Slade Drilling Pty Ltd "Michael I have just been for a swim in the ocean to get some exercise after a great day. I wanted to tell you that you have done a GREAT job designing my drill. It is, in my opinion, a first class piece of equipment second to none. It's in a class all on it's own. It has a great capacity for it's weight and with further potential. It is a truly amazing and it works as good as it looks. It will be worth it. I will be a very happy man. A BIG thank you. God bless. Paul"

QDS Chain Slotter for underground coal mine
Redesign of the QDS slotter machine for underground coal mine have been carried out. The redesign has increased of operability and improve capacity of the cutter. Classical calculation analysis of the loads on hydraulic components and the finite element analysis of structural components are conducted,
